Miniature FITA Tinkerbell Faerie inspired by the J. M. Barrie story of Peter Pan, a micro fairy in a mini glass dome ornament or necklace

Model No: 1B

Details

Our second listing is for a miniature Tinkerbell inspired by the story of Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie with Tink sitting atop a thimble “kiss.” According to the story, Wendy offered to give Peter a kiss but, realizing he thought a kiss was a physical object, she placed a thimble in his waiting hand to avoid embarrassing him. And since fairies are so tiny and can only have one emotion at a time, Tink was overwhelmed with jealousy!

This piece is the same pose as our first listing with a few modifications to better fit the Tink described by Barrie as having a slightly hourglass figure. Since he said she was wearing an exquisite low-cut gown of skeleton leaves which showed off her figure to its best advantage, we’ve dressed her to match. And because she “made light by flashing about so quickly,” our Tink sparkles with glitter and has bright blonde hair. Her eyes are a deep green in keeping with her inclination to be sharp-tongued and jealous.

Tink is protected in a permanently sealed glass dome ornament that can also be worn as a necklace with the included solid brass chain if desired. Attached to the pendant is a tiny leaf with a unique serial number on the back. Of course, Tink would not be complete without a bell to emulate the tinkling sounds of faerie language since, according to Barrie, this is what their tiny voices sound like to the human ear.

Tink and the thimble are original sculptures created in-house and reproduced by us using resin 3D printing technology. They cannot be found anywhere else because we do not sell the digital files we create from our pieces. A 30-inch solid brass chain with soldered links is included so the tiny glass dome can be worn if desired. Also, we only offer pieces that are already completed and ready to ship so there is no waiting for orders to be filled.
